Beer Haiku (an occasional series)

Since late 2011, we have been going to the Tuesday night new releases at Hashigo Zake Cult Beer Bar inWellington, but apart from the Garage Project we have never blogged about the beers.  Today, we launch the Beer Haiku (an occasional series) to address this gap in our beer tasting coverage.

what is a haiku?

hai·ku (hk)

n. pl. haiku also hai·kus

1. A Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.

2. A poem written in this form.

This Tuesdays new release is

To Øl Reparationsbajer  USA/NZ Pale Ale 5.8% ABV.

Beer smells like flowers

Alive with yeast citrus zing

Thirstyboys drink five
