BEER HAIKU #12 De Molen – Jaar & Dag (Year & Day)

Hashigo zake’s new release was from Dutch brewery De Molen – Jaar & Dag(Year & Day) . It was “New Zealand’s one and only keg of De Molen Jaar & Dag…” they said. The Jesuit was so inspired by the 440mls before him that he uttered the following Haiku as he gazed up to the low ceiling. I just wrote it down…

De Molen Jaar & Dag
Saison 7.5% ABV

Yeasty Dutch goodness

Not summer but still Saison

Cop that one DB*

  1. It was a fine brew, i am now a complete convert to the wonders of Saison.

  2. Thirstyboys says:

The editors were asked by a reader to edit the exclamation mark in the original version of this haiku. It appeared after the DB in the third line. In our reader’s opinion, emphatic punctuation is not in the spirit of the haiku form.

We can respect the craft…after all, we respect craft brewing.
