BEER HAIKU #19 Lobethal Red Truck Porter (Australia)

On Tuesday night at Hashigozake we had an offering from our digger mates in the Adelaide Hills. It’s a red brown brew that won Silver (2009) and Bronze (2011) at the Australian International Beer Awards. It looked and tasted the part and we think it deserves a Haiku (2012).

Porter 5% ABV

 Bitter coffee but

Hoppy bright scarlet lorry

Burnt toffee apples
